Family would often ask if I was making any new music, but I'd given it up. My Dad was my biggest fan, he would play CDs of the stuff to his friends. In April of 2012, after nearly a 5 year gap, I got back into making some more music. I had made 4 tracks, with a handful of unfinished projects. I stopped in May of the same year, and couldn't find the motivation to start again. I wanted to make some more in secret, and then put an albums worth out, but it never happened. In January 2013, after a brief spell in hospital, my Dad died. It shook the whole family. He never got to hear the new songs, and I gave up, not just on this, but on life in general.
I feel these 4 tracks were probably the best I'd done to that point, so put them on their own on a 4 track EP.
After this was released, I made a lot of lifestyle changes, and decided after releasing this EP to get back into making music, with newer software, and more variety of virtual instruments.
That work started in 2014, and can be found at ambx.bandcamp.com
